Reliable quality management is essential for successful laboratory work. It goes without saying, therefore, that all laboratories at our sites actively contribute to quality assurance in the healthcare sector, enabling us to act as a reference laboratory in certain areas. Our staff take part in regular further training in clinical-technical and medical fields, whilst external quality assurance is carried out through participation in laboratory comparisons and international interlaboratory tests. When it comes to internal quality assurance, we not only naturally adhere to the guidelines of the Bundesärztekammer (RiliBÄK), but also place great importance on going well beyond them.
Our laboratories at the Gelsenkirchen and Iserlohn sites are accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) for medical laboratory testing in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15189. The Hospital Hygiene Department based at the Gelsenkirchen site is accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Eurofins Medizinische Labor Gelsenkirchen generally holds flexible accreditation across almost all areas of testing. The relevant tests can be viewed in the appendices to the accreditation certificates.
