Eurofins GeneScan GmbH is the Competence Centre for the analysis of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) within the global Eurofins network.
From the very beginning, the laboratory has played a key role in the development of new methods for detecting GMOs and is regarded as one of the world leaders in molecular biological GMO analysis.
Furthermore, Eurofins GeneScan has many years of experience in animal species identification and residual DNA testing. Through customer-specific method development and tailored analytical solutions, the company also supports its clients in addressing individual analytical challenges.

Eurofins GeneScan has extensive experience in residual host cell DNA testing and offers services ranging from assay development to routine testing in a GMP-compliant environment, if required. We have detection methods for identifying plant and animal species, even in highly processed products.
Eurofins GeneScan has played a significant role in the development of new GMO detection methods from the very beginning. As well as developing and validating methods for our own laboratory and our extensive range of kit products, we offer contract development for various applications.
Eurofins GeneScan GmbH performs food, feed and seed testing, as well as method development and validation, in accordance with its ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. This ensures that all activities are carried out competently, reliably, impartially, and confidentially on the basis of defined and standardised processes.
